The promotion period ends tonight around midnight and as of right now Regenesis has been downloaded over 675 times. I never expected this level of reception and support and I am extremely grateful to all of you who downloaded it and shared it with your friends and family.
It's a bit frightening knowing that there are nearly 700 people in the world who have my novel at their fingertips and will have open and honest opinions about it. Fortunately I've only heard good things thus far, though I know inevitably someone will not like it and I'll catch wind of that. It's odd. I never wrote this book to make anyone happy other than myself but I care so deeply about how it is received, though my assumption is that I perceive the reception of the novel as a reflection of everyone's recognition of who I am personally, (which in almost every instance would be crazy, right?) But that saying about the author being a part of their story and their characters is true. I know exactly what part of myself is in each and every single figure in the novel.
Anyway, work on the sequel hasn't picked up yet and won't until December because I'm writing another book right now (which I may or may not have mentioned in my last entry, I can't remember.) This book, entitled Together, will probably be the closest thing I'll ever write that verges on romance (even though it isn't a romance novel). Together is more so about recovering than love, but that'll be a discussion for another time and another post.
The freebie period for Regenesis ends tonight around midnight, so I'm crossing my fingers that the total number of downloads pushes past 700. Thank you again to everyone for their support through all of this.
